CALL TO A DEATH-BED
CLERGYMAN’S CHAFFEUR FINED. Is a chaffeur entitled to exceed the speed limit when driving a clergyman on an urgent call to a dying parishioner? A man summoned in England for travelling at 25 miles.an hour stated in his defence that he was doing this. The Magistrate said the Bench had every sympathy with suffering people, but the publie must be protected. A fine of 20s was imposed.
