WAIKATO WINTER SHOW

OFFICIAL OPENING CEREMONY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hamilton, Last Night. The Waikato winter show was officially opened by the Governor-General, Sir Charles Fergusson, after being entertained at luncheon by the executive. The Hon. J. A. Young, and Messrs C. E. MacMillan, M.P., T. W. Rhodes, M.P., and Stewart Reid, M.P., were also present. His Excellency referred to the wonderful progress the show had made and its outstanding importance. To celebrate the coming of age of the show, Her Excellency cut a threetier, rich 21st birthday cake. Large crowds attended the show, which is on a bigger scale than ever, with fine exhibits and record entries in the competitive classes.
