RADIO TRANSMISSION
AMERICA HEARD AT WHANGAREI. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Whangarei, May 31. Last Sunday the General Electric Company’s Schenectady (New York) 24-hour programme, transmitted on a wave length of 29.92 and 32.77 metres respectively by 2XAD and WGY, was successfully heard here by N. C. Shepherd for a period of nine hours. Shepherd used a three valve set and J. C. Isherwood received part of the programme with a two valve receiver.
