MR. F. HODGES RESIGNS
MINERS’ FEDERATION SECRETARY. CRITICISM OF STRIKE ACTION. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Paris, May 30. Following a seven hours’ stormy meeting of the International Miners’ Federation, Mr. Frank Hodges resigned the secretaryship. He was subjected to bitter criticism, particularly by Mr. Cook and Mr. Herbert Smith, concerning his speeches and actions during the general strike and coal lock-out. The resignation was technically due to Mr. Hodges’ 'acceptance of a Government electricity 'commissionership.
