PINEDO REACHES AZORES
WEATHER SPOILS FLIGHT. By Telegraph—Press Awn.—Copyright. New York, May 89. Following a week of conflicting reports it is now definitely established that the Marquis de Pinedo, with his seaplane and crew, has arrived at Horta in the Island of Fayal, Azores. The Italian steamer Superga, which bas been assisting the airman since May 24, towed the plane, the winds end waves combining to delay its arrival. The Marquis de Pinedo, interviewed, stated that he encountered thick fog and strong head winds immediately after he left Trepassey, Newfoundland, and these finally necessitated his alighting in the water near the fishing schooner Ingante Sagres. He had sufficient petrol to continue the flight if the weather improved but, as the head wind he agreed to be towed. A large crowd greeted him on his arrival. He declared that ho would resume the flight, but must await his mechanic and extra parts from Italy,
