The above flocks are recognised as being among the best in the Rangitikei. The Romney Stud was founded with ewes purchased from Mr. J. A. McLean and is that portion of the original flock taken over at the dissolution of partnership of McLean Brothers. The other portion, which reverted to Mr. L. T. McLean, was dispersed, and created tremendous interest and established record prices at the time. Considerable honours have been won in the past at Wanganui, Marton and Taihape Shows, and the sheep to be offered will be found as being typical Romneys, verj’ densely clad and active, strong constitutioned sheep.
