The Assistant-Secretary of War, Mr. Davison, who is in charge of aviation, told the House military committee that the air appropriations had been so cut by the Budget that it was impossible to carry out tile first year of the five year building programme. They would be unable to purchase the 65 bombing and 26 attack planes thereby provided.
