OBTAINED CREDIT BY FRAUD
GIRL’S NAME SUPPRESSED. By Telegraph.—Preea Association. Christchurch, Jan. 6. An 18-year-old girl, whose name was suppressed, was this morning convicted of obtaining credit by fraud. The police stated that the girl, who came from Dunedin, represented herself as a Dr. Cruickshank. She obtained goods to the value of £lO from one shop and £3O from another. Her people were respectable residents in Dunedin. She had left home and her father now refused to have anythi-more to do with her. The goods had been recovered, but were useless for sale purposes. Accused was admitted to probation for 12 months and ordered to remain in St. Anne’s Home.
