SLIP DESCENDS ON TRAIN
SLIGHT ACCIDENT TO LIMITED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Jan. 6. The soufh-bound Limited met with a slight mishap near Owhango at an early hour this morning, a small slip descending on to the train as it passed a spot where the country ie very rugged. Fortunately none of the passengers were injured, although one at least received bruises from the stones contained in the debris. The train proceeded on its journey, and it was not until the first station was reached that the accident was discovered by the officials. On arrival at the local station this morning the damaged carriage bore evidence as to the impact of the fail of earth. Several of the windows were smashed and the fanlights broken, while the roof and sides of the eax were covered with with a deposit of mud.
