Alderman Mosten, Sydney’s Lord Mayor, addressing the heads of the City Council departments, plainly told them that what«v«i their eivio'or political connections were, they must carry out the detormincd policy of ths council or leave ’he service. Economy was the keynote of his policy. He was determined they must live within the souneil’s income so that an increase of rates would not be necessary.
