JIB COOK’S DECLARATION COMMUNISM IS A REALITY MUST BE MET IN THE OPEN By Telegraph—Tv-ws Ass®.—Copy ligh*. Received Jan. 3, 8.30 p.m. London, Jan. 3. Mr A. J. Cook celebrated his return Irani Moscow by an outspoken declaration in favour of Leninism. He eaid: "I favour Leninism. Communism is not a dream but a reality. The Labour leaders in Great Britain are midgets compared with the great giants of Russia.” The Daily Express says: “At a secret conference, the leaders of Moderate Labour in Great Britain decided to declare war against the Communists in the trade unions. Mr. Cook’s speeches in Moscow having persuaded the Moderates that the Communists must bo met in the open. "Apparently Mr. Cook anticipates iiouble when he meets the Miners' Federation, as he is trying to initiate a new national union of miners which will strive to make the eight hours’ day in the mines inoperative.”
