JUNIOR RED CROSS
COMPETITION RESULTS. In connection with the Junior Red Cross circles throughout North Taranaki, the New Plymouth branch of the Red Cross Society recently offered prizes for posters showing the aims of the Red Cross Society. The keen interest which the competition roused was indicated by the large number of entries received from al) the schools in which the Junior Red Cross is established. 'She posters were judged by Miss Allen, headmistress of tho Girls’ High School, and the winning ones will be on view in a Devon Street shop window to-day. Following is a list of prize winners: Original poster illustrating health rule. —Ruth Lees, St. Alary’s School, Stratford, 1; Eileen Bungay, St. Mary's School, 2. Posters made from illustrations.— Peter Gillespie, Okato School, 1; Margaret Wright, St. Mary’s School, 2. Original poster, illustrating aims of Red Cross Society.—K. Ha nish, Westown School, 1. Special prizes.—Elsie Parkin (Bell . Block School), Ronald Bary (E.thanii School), Margaret Wright (St. Mary’s School), Alice Gibbs (St. Mary’s School), Osborne Lewis (Warea School).
