An appeal by the Takapuna Borough Council against Mr. McKean's dismissal of an information charging Alfred Henry Smith with carrying on within the motor omnibus district of Takapuna a motor service otherwise than pursuant to the authority of the license granted by the licensing authority appointed under the Motor Omnibus Act, 1926?- was upheld by Mr. Justice Adams this morning. The Judge was of opinion that Smith should be convicted and the case remitted back to the Magistrate to record a conviction accordingly.
