PRODUCTION OF WOOL
MENACE OF THE HUTIWAI. By Telegraph.— Press Association. Marton, Dec. 13. A representative meeting of sheep' farmers in the Hunterville district on Saturday passed a resolution that, in view of the fact that a large sum has been made available by the British Government towards assisting Empire production. the most serious menace to which in New Zealand is the biddy biddy (or hutiwai) in wool, a committee be set np to further the claims of the Dominion towards obtaining a grant from the fund with the object of research work to eradicate the weed. The hutiwai presents a serious problem to farmers in this district.
