MAIL BAGS DESTROYED By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Nov. 2. A fire on the Fiji Shipping Company’s steamer Adi Vova at Suva, on the evening of October 25, caused damage to the extent of £5OO to £lOOO, and the destruction of 13 bags of mail, including New Zealand and Australian mail for Levuka and two bags from Noumea to Wallace Island, believed to contain official correspondence. The damage to the steamer is covered by insurance.
