ILLEGAL OPERATION.
THE JURY DISAGREES. Telegraph.—Press Aseoqiat’an. Napier, Last Night. Mary Ann Wastoboy, married, aged 70, was tried in the Supreme Court to-day before Mr. Justice Ostler with using an instrument for illegal purposes. The jury was put for four hours and failed to reach an agreement. A new trial was ordered for to-morrow. Florence Humphries, upon whom the operation was performed, pleaded guilty to allowing the operation and was admitted to probation for one year.
