Williams had been appointed to the Cabinet as Minister for Public Works and will be sworn in by His Excellency the Governor-General to-morrow. [Mr. K. S. Williams, who was educated at Christ’s College, where he was captain of the football team, is a sheep-farmer at Ruatorea. He was chairman of Waiapu County Council until elected M.P. for the Bay of Plenty on the death of the Hon. W. D. S. McDonald. He was re-elected at the general election of 1922 and has since retained the seat.]
