(From Our Own Correspondent.) Kaponga, June 11. This evening the St. Mark’s Anglican Ladies’ Guild held a plain and fancydress ball in the Kaponga Town Hall Boulton’s orchestra supplied the excel lent music, to which 50 or 60 couples danced. The hall was beautifully decorated by Miss Bentley and Messrs. Knight, Arnold and Briggs. The ladies’ committee, under the direction of Mcsdames E. Boyle and G. Bertie, loft nothing to be desired in the way of supper. The spot dance was won by Miss Hutchinson and Mr. R. Herbert, and the card dance by Mr. and Mrs. R. Briggs The duties of M.C. were ably carried out by Messrs. Briggs, Marr and Dagg, Mr. E. W. Blackwell had charge of the door.
