JEWELLERY THIEF CAUGHT.

SENTENCED ON TWO CHARGES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. John Lctica, who is already serving a six months’ term for the theft of a diamond ring from a city jeweller’s shop, having substituted a paste ring for it, was to-day sentenced to a further six months’ term for the theft of another diamond ring, which he palmed in Julia Coltman’s shop two days before the other theft. He sold Mrs. Coltman’s ring to a second-hand dealer, Samuel Glazer, who was charged with failing to enter the date of the purchase and was fined £5.
