THE WINTER SHOW.

LARGE.CROWDS ATTEND. CHILDREN’S PETS JUDGED. Yesterday was children’s day at the Taranaki Metropolitan Agricultural Society’s Winter Show and throughout the day a large attendance was maintained. No exhibits will be removed until this morning so there was nothing to detract from the interest of the show yesterday. Last night particularly, the attendance reached large proportions and the various side-shows and stalls seemed to be doing a roaring trade. The display of children’s pets, judged during the day was very fine, and the results were as follows: Best bantam, cock or cockerel, cleanlegged.—Alex Greer (Vogeltown) 1, Billy Hunter (Fitzroy) 2, lan Blackley (New Plymouth) 3, R.
