POSITION AT WASHINGTON. By Telegraph—Press Assn. —Copyright. Ottawa, May 3. “As regards Canadian representation at Washington I can only say what I have always eaid —as long as the Canadian Government wishes the British Ambassador to represent the Dominion’s interests in the United States we shall be glad to do so, but if they feel it better there should be a Canadian representative, then they should be allowed to express their own views, for which they have good reasons,” said the British Ambassador, the Rt. Hon. Sir Esmc Howard, to a United States interviewer at Montreal on Monday.
