THEFT OF FUR COAT.
THEATRICAL ARTIST’S LAPSE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. 1 Christchurch, May 5. Two theatrical artists, Irene de Vigny, aged 18, and her husband, Cyrus de were charged with the theft of a fur coat valued at £32 from Dixieland. The case against the man .was dismissed and the woman was convicted and admitted to probation. The evidence showed that the woman entered Dixieland without a coat and came out later with a musquash coat, driving to her hotel in a taxi.
