BUSINESS GIRL’S CLUB.

Y.W.C.A. ACTIVITY. Despite the stormy night, there was a fair attendance at the special meeting called at the Clarke Memorial Hostel on Tuesday evening to consider the formation of a club for business girls. Various subjects were discussed and some handcrafts displayed, including sealing wax wares and beads and rafia baskets and purses and fancywork. It was resolved to commence the club and hold the next meeting in the hostel on May 11, inviting all girls of 20 and over who are interested to attend. The next meeting will include a musical programme, physical work and instruction in rafia and cross-stitch. A social hour and supper concluded the evening.
