MEETING NEXT THURSDAY. THE HANDICAPS DECLARED, The two successful running and cycling carnivals held during the past two years undeW the auspices of the Eltharo Athletic Club will be followed next Thursday by the third meeting held since the post-war resuscitation of the club. Special efforts are being made to provide, a good track at Taumata Park, and as Taranaki athletes have responded well in the way of entries, the public are assured of a good and interesting carnival. A refreshment booth where sweets and soft drinks may be obtained will be open in the park, and a. programme of music will be provided by the Ettham Brass Band.
