GUTTED BY FIRE.
AUCKLAND HOUSE TN FLAMES. By Telearapih.—Press Association. Auckland, June 20. A fire almost entirely gutted an eightroomed house in Fairview Road, Mount Eden, the residence of John Scansie and his family, during their absence. The house owned by the (International Mercantile Company and insured in the ‘New Zealand Office' for £l5OO and the Prudential for £5OO. The latter company has also a policy on the furniture.
