CYCLONIC STORM.
AUSTRALIA SWEPT. By Telegraph-—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, June 20. Cyclonic conditions are ruling on the east coast. According to the meteorologist the cyclone is of an extensive nature, being one of the worst experienced for years. Yesterday it was centred at Rockhampton and is moving south. Heavy downpours have already been experienced in Sydney and along the coast. Flood warnings have been issued. Coastal shipping is affected. The Louis Theriault, bound from Newcastle to Tetopu, put into Sydney lor shelter. DAMAGE IN QUEENSLAND. Brisbane, June 20. Rain, accompanied by wind, which at times reached cyclonic force, caused considerable damage in Southern Queensland. Many houses were unroofed. The creeks and rivers are rising and low lying land is inundated.
