The Australian Davis Cup players, Patterson and Hawkes, arrived to-day and played an exhibition game on asphalt. The Aveather was hot and the balls light. S. Snodgrass defeated Patterson 6—o, 6—l, and R. Kinsey and Snodgrass defeated Patterson and Hawkes 7 —6. 6
