(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Anglican Church bazaar, postponed from last February, is to be held in the Uruti Hall on Saturday, June 6. The dedication service of the little church was held in March by Archdeacon Evans, just prior to his departure for England. Built as a soldiers’ memorial, AP Saints has also the honour of -being the first church to be built in the North Taranaki Home Mission district. Anglicans and nonconformists joined in the building of this little place of worship, which is shared by all, and the bishop, on his last visit, remarked on the splendid spirit of brotherliness which prevails. There is a debt of £lBO on the building, and zealous workers, in order to pay interest and charges on the mortgage, have been for months past catering for the sales. At the bazaar there will be the usual stalls, and guessing competitions, etc. Air. J. Butt has presented a fat sheep for the purpose. Children are especially well catered for. By a fortunate purchase, a large number of toys were secured at a bargain priee, and toys will be plentiful and cheap. In the produce stall there will be a large and. varied assortment of farmhouse delieaeis, and the sweets stall at Uruti bazaars has always had a big reputation. The refreshment room is under a committee of exceptionally able and experienced caterers. , The Home Mission committee at New Plymouth provide the main portion of the goods for the plain and fancy stall and its president (Miss Godfrey, Fulford Street) will be pleased to receive goods for this purpose. The Rev. H. G. Sell, Waitara, the vicar of Uruti Parochial District, will be very clad to receive donations in kind or sterling, and the honorable, secretary for district (Mrs. H. Larsen) will be pleased to answer all enquiries. Goods can be sent by any ’bus or lorry and should, .be addressed to the local ehurch secretary Mr W George, to be left at post office or ’Marshall's store.—(Published by arrangement.)
