GENERAL ITEMS. (From Our Own Correspondent.) Another very old resident, Mrs. Hickson has paaseit away. It is about fifty years since she arrived in Inglewood with her former Mr. Lawson, and they shared the hardships of the pioneers. Mrs. Hickson leaves a husband and family of six, four sons and two daughters, to mourn their loss, viz., Messrs K. P. Lawson (Wellington), G. Lawson (Inglewood), T. Lawson (Stratford), J. Lawson (Auckland); Mesdames Feek (Stratford), and Amies (Auckland). The monthly meeting of the Kaimata Dairy Factory was held to-day, when it was decided to pay Is 5d per lb. for butter-fat supplied during the past month, and also Id per lb. for all butterfat supplied during the season up to the end of February. This bonus will bring the pay-out to Is 6d over the months till February and Is 5d for the balance to date. Air. F. Mace, of Kaimata, has had the misfortune to lose a very large and valuable haystack by fire. Mr. Mace cannot account for the fire.
