The results of the first six awards were as follows: —-First ( £1000), D. C. Smith (Dunedin); second (£500), ticket number (.05783, Auckland;, third (£200), H. Pickering, Opunake, Taranaki; fourth ( £100). Mr. Gray, Omomi, Seacliff; fifth. Mr. D. Kennard, Enfield, North Otago; sixth ( £100), Thomas Ca-wle, Mahakipawa, Marlborough.
