MINISTERIAL TOUR.
VISIT OF HON. J. G. COATES. AT NEW PLYMOUTH TO-DAY. The Hon. J. G. Coates (Minister for Railways and Public Works) will arrive in New Plymouth this afternoon. Mr. Coates, who arrived at Stratford on Thursday night, traversed the Ohura country the following day. On Saturday he proceeded to the Hauraki Plains, being expected back at Te Kuiti last night. Leaving there this morning, the Minister will journey via the Awakino Valley Road to New Plymouth, lunching at Mokau. He is expected at New Plymouth late this afternoon, and will receive deputations representing the Taranaki Chamber of Commerce, the Tourist and Expansion League, the Taranaki Automobile Association and the Retailer© Association. The Minister leaves for the south by special train at nine o’clock to-night.
