ENTERTAINMENTS.

EMPIRE THEATRE. BIG BOOKING FOR NELLIE BRAMLEY COMPANY. There was a rush for reserve seats at Collier’s yesterday morning when the box plans opened for the return season of three nights of the Nellie Bramley Company. The company will open Friday with the -powerful play “Paid in Full.” On Saturday, by request of hundreds of delighted patrons of the recent season, the company will stage the hysterically funny farce "’Fair and Warmer,” and on Monday the season concludes with the ever-popular “The Third Degree.” In reference to "Paid in Full” a Wellington paper says; "In the fine character play, "Paid in Full,” Miss Nellie Bramley and her talented company again scored a great and uell deserved success at the Grand Opera House last night, drawing and delighting a large and most appreciative audience. The play# which is wonderfully well throughout and replete with dramatic incident, tells most graphically and convincingly the story of a beautiful, charming woman. of great force of character, married

io a cur of a fellow, Joe Brooks, who, having a'bused a position ot trust as an employee in tlie great Latin-American steamship line, tries to save himself by inducing his wife to compromise herself with Captain Caleb Williams, the multimillionaire head of the company. A great pi?to of character acting is also given by Mr. George Bryant, as Captain Williams. He made the stern old sailor live before the audience in wonderfully realistic fashion. Miss Nellie Bramley gives a magnificent character study in the role of Emma Brooks, a role which gives the fullest scope for her great histrionic powers.” Intending patrons who have not yet booked seats should do 'so without delay.
