COAL NEAR OAMARU.
LARGE DEPOSIT .FOUND. By Telegraph—Press Association. Oaniaru, Ltjst Night. A large deposit of good 'lignite coal has been discovered near Karow. The face of the seam is A2 feet in depth; An application for a coal lease is being made to the Otago Land Board, and mining operations will be commenced next month.
