CUP AND SHIELD MATCHES DETAILS OF YESTERDAY’S PLAY The final matches of the Bennett Cup and the Pellew Shield for the first round were played at New Plymouth yesterday in dull but warm weather. In the Bennett Cup matches Kawaroa Park defeated Central by 125 to 116, and Pukekura Park defeated Fitzroy by 142 to 70, New Plymouth having a bye. For the Pellew Shield Kawaroa Park and Central .played a drawn ajarne, each side securing 44 points, while New Plymouth defeated Pukekura Park by 52 to 25. Details : BENNETT CUP. Kawaroa Park v.
