TRAM REVENUE.

NOVEMBER RETURNS HIGH. AUSPICIOUS SUMMER OPENING. Showing a revenue of £1772 12s 3d and a total of 202,820 passengers carried, the month of November provided an auspicious opening for the summer traffic on the New Plymouth trams. Compared with November of last year, last month’s revenue showi an increase of £332 5s 9d and 22.731 in passengers, but in November, 1023, the Westown service was not in operation. Reporting to the borough council last night, the tramways manager (Mr. G. J. Wyatt) e»aid that no trouble had been experienced over and above the usual maintenance. Details of the traffic returns showed that on the Fitzroy-Breakwater route 105.269 passengers were carried, the revenue being £1,474 19* 6d. while on the Westown route. 37.551 passengers, yielding £267 12s 9d in revenue, were carried.
