MAORI PASSENGERS.

CONDUCT RESENTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Dec. 12. Serious complaints have been made; by the second-class passengers of the steamer Mishimamaru, which arrived in Sydney from Japan, concerning the conduct of a party of forty Maoris on board, who, it is stated, dominated the second-class accommodation and on two occasions assaulted other passengers. On arrival at Sydney a letter of compaint was forwarded to the shipping master’s office. Several passengers are prepared to give evidence at any inquiry as to the conduct of the Maoris and the refusal of the ship’s officers to prevent objectionable conduct.
