A GGOD CLASS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Dec. 11. The Australian Press Association has been informed that when the Cephee leaves Port Said she will carry approximately 700 Jugoslavs, 250 Greeks and Macedonians, 150 Italians and 100 of other nationalities mainly bound for Melbourne and Sydney. They are mostly young men. apparently of the labouring type, alert, intelligent. and under the impression that there is plenty of work in Australia. All paid their own fares (2000 francs) and each has between £2O and £5O.
The Cephee wilt carry immigrants to Australia in future, and two other vessels will be similarly equipped. The Messageries Company disclaims knowledge of any organisation behind the migratory movement, and states that the • emigrants simply booked as individuals at various Messageries agencies. s
