THE NEW GOVERNOR.

ARRIVAL THIS MORNING. WELCOME AT WELLINGTON. PASSENGER BY RUAHINE. The new Governor-General of New Zealand (Sir Charles Fergusson) is due at Wellington this morning. According to the latest information, the New Zealand Shipping Company’s steamer Ruahine on which Sir Charles ij a passenger, will arrive in the stream from England, via Panama, not later than 7 a.m.’ Should that be the case, His Excellency will land at the Pipitea Wharf at 9.30 a.m., when he will be received by the members of the Harbour and City Council. The times of arrival and Unding, however, are dependent on the weather. The Mayor of Wellington and City Council are to unofficially welcome the new Governor-General at 10 a.m, There are only three in the family party on board the Ruahine, viz., Sir Charles Fergusson, Lady Alice Fergusson, and Miss Fergusson. They are accompanied by Mr. G. J. Little, private secretary, an J Captain Vernon Wentworth (-of the Gre< adier Guards), A.D.C.
