Appearing on remand before Mr. A. M. Mowlem, 6. M., at the Magistrate’s Court at New Plymouth yesterday, Gordon Herbert Martin, recently employed as a teller in the Bank of New South Wales at New Plymouth, who had previously been charged with fraudulently converting to his own use a sum of £3O, the property of David Grahame, was further charged on nine separate counts with .fraudulently converting to his own use sums totalling £369 15s Id. Oh the application of the police the accused was further remanded until Friday, December 19. Bail was granted on the same terms as- before, namely, self £3OO and two sureties of £l5O each, accused to report to the police daily.

Weather permitting, the. local Salvation Army Band will be playing Christmas carol® in Westown on Tuesday evening and at Fitzroy, when contributions for the band will be gratefully received.
