Mr. Ivan O’Meara, the well-known wireless amateur, communicated on Wednesday evening with operators in Beunos Aires, at Panama (Argentine) and with the steamer Port Curtte, en route from New Zealand to . London, via Monte Video, all these messages being received within a space of two hours and forty minutes.

First he got Mr. Orbell, a New Zealander, on the Port Curtte, which was 6200 miles away and was nearing Monte Video. Mr. Orbell transmitted a message to be forwarded to some friends in New Zealand, stating that he would be arriving at Mont© Video the following morning. Mr. O’Meara then got Mr. F. Braggio at Beunos Aires, 6500 miles distant, who stated that he had sent a journal and photographs to Mr. O’Meara. The last call by Mr. OlMeara was answered by Dr. Gataneo, of Parana, Argentine, 6500 miles away, who replied to the signals, introduced himself and intimated that he would be on space the following night at the same time. Mr. O’Meara states that in each case the signals were very clear.
