RIOTS IN INDIA.
OUTLOOK MORE SERIOUS. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Delhi, Sept. 24. Inter-communal rioting in India has grown to an alarming extent, the latest danger zone being Shahjehanpur. in the Punjab, where three were killed and 50 injured in prolonged street fighting. The Authorities were compelled to proclaim a curfew order and this at a time when Gandhi te fasting 21 days as a prayer for communal peace and unity at the conference meeting at, Delhi. The general outlook is serious, giving rise to perturbation among the public.
