NEW COMET DISCOVERED.

NOT SEEN LOCALLY I! El. By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Sept. 23. The Government Astronomer has been informed by the International Comet Bureau of the discovery by Dr. Finsler, of Berlin, of a comet now of the eighth magnitude. It is visible in small telescopes and the position tonight will be 14 hours 20 Ominutes right ascension, 5 degrees 7 minutes north declination. It sets at 7.20 p.m., but the position is improving daily. The right ascension is increasing eight minutes daily and the declination decreasing 2 degrees daily. It has not yet been seen locally.
