LADIES’ CHAMPIONSHIP. FOURTH ROUND RESULTS YOUNG GIRL’S SUCCESS. ® By Telegraph.—-Press Association. Hamilton. Last Night. The New Zealand ladies’ golf championship tournament, was continued to-day. The outstanding feature-was the play of Miss Kay, of Whangarel, who is only sixteen years of age. In the championship the fourth round resulted : Miss Snodgrass (Rotorua) beat Mrs. Guy Williams (Wellington) 1 up. Mrs. Peake (Cambridge) beat Mrs. Blythe (Hamilton) 1 up. Miss M. Payton (Auckland) beat Mrs. Slack (Cambridge) 8 up and 6. Miss Kay (Whangarel) beat Miss Gambrill (Wellington) 4 up and 3. The semi-finals will be played to-morrow. The club teams’ match (teams of four) was won by Wellington A with a score of 367, Shirley (Christchurch) being second with 381. The Dounolly Cup handicap (medal round) resulted: Halligan (Te Aroha) 75, Mrs, M. MacFarlane (Auckland) 78. HAWKE’S BAY CHAMPIONSHIP. Napier, Last Night. The Hawke’s Bay championship golf tournament opened to-day on the Waiohikl links, when the following qualified for the championship :—J. F. Parker, Kapi Tareha, F. C. Fryer, N. H. Bull, M. R. M. Turnbull, G. M. Dogshun, J. Lowry, L. Balfour, C. Riddelfl, H. G. Davies, H. Ma>ru, S. Kopata, R. Kelha, S. Powdrell, S. E. Troutbeck and R. W. Dalgleish. Match play ccmmences to-morrow. NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. The four-ball match to have been played by the ladies at Waiwakalho yesterday has been postponed till to-morrow.
