A private cable received this morning from James Paddon stated that he had definitely retired from scuOlW and hands the title to Hadfield. By Telegraph .—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received Sept. 23. 7.55 p.m. Sydney, Sept. 23. Paddon to-day definitely announced his retirement as the world's champion, and the title now passes to Hadfiedl. Goodsell has lodged a deposit for a race with Hadfield.
