FIRST ROYAL SHOW OF NEW ZEALAND.

On the well-known grounds of and in conjunction with the 39th annual show of the Manawatu and West Coast Metropolitan A. and P. Association, is to be held the First Royal Agricultural Show of New Zealand. The formation of a society to apply for and hold a Royal Charter has taken some years to accomplish, in which a great deal of time and labour was given by those gentlemen concerned having the good of their country at heart. The forthcoming effort will be a most important, not to say historical occasion. A generous allocation of prizes has been made, largely through the loyal support of the various breed societies, and large entries are anticipated from all quarters of the Dominion. The Manawatu Kennel Club’s annual dog show is being held also in con junction, and in honour of the occasion the New Zealand Kennel Club has granted an All Challenge Show. All information may he obtained from the joint secretaries. Box 85, Palmerston North.
