MONEY FOR AUSTRALIA.
MIGRANTS HELP. By Telegraph—Presß Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Sept. 17. Mr. Rickard, president of the Millions Club, speaking on immigration, and refuting the statement that Australia is receiving only penniless immigrants, states that for the period January I. 1924, to August 31, 17,591 immigrants arrived in Australia, and declared their capital was £216,570. The Deputy-Director of Immigration stated that the declared capital was usually the minimum. Experience showed that migrants brought considerably more.
