MATCH AT FITZROY. A match between the summer and winter players of the Fitzroy Bowling Club will b? played on the club’s green to-day, play commencing at 1.45 p.m. The following will represent the summer players: Chapman, Gillespie, Lister, Abbott (s) : Pote, Hughes, Goldsmith. Rennell (s) ; Drake. Clow, Fairhall, Hammond (s) ; Glendinning, Munroe, Okey, Jury (s) ; Pepper, W. J. Martin, Murray, Beadle (s). The following will represent the winter players: Burton, Best, Sarten, Williams (s) : Gunson, Kivell, Buckle, Smith (s) ; Sole, Gilmour, White, Bennett (s) ; Bridgman. Walker, Harrison, Blundell (s) ; Hair. Drury. Brooker, Spiers (s). PARITUTU CLUB. A meeting of the committee of the Paritutu Rowling Club was held on, Thursday evening. Present: Messrs. E. Jackson (chairman). Tljpmson, Davies, Reader, Coppen, Walls, Jury, Lobb, Moverley and Adams (secretary). The grounds committee reported that the whole of the levelling and preparation of the lawn had now been completed; the grass will be sown as soon as the surface dries. The whole of the club’s property has now been enclosed with wire-netting and a live fence planted. It was decided to hold a working bee this Saturday afternoon if weather permits. The secretary reported that subscriptions were coming in freely, also that a number of new debentures had been taken up by members. This was appreciated by the i committee. Four new members were elected.
