EMPIRE THEATRE. “JUST OFF BROADWAY. John Gilbert, the .popular William Fox star will appear for the last timte tonight at the Empire in “Just off Broadway.” The story tells how a pretty chorus girl accidentally becomes the ally of a gang of crooks. She meets one of the gang, who falls in love with her. After much excitement and a series of complications and misunderstandings, the girl learns that the crook is a secret service agent, <and he, in hfe turn, discovers that the girl is not dishonest. A very laughable Sunshine comedy entitled ’ “Etiquette,” and an interesting Fox News is also showing at the Empire Theatre. This afternoon's matinee programme at Everybody’s will include Richard Barthelmess in “Twenty-one.” a Charlie Chaplin comedy entitled “Tuning his Ivories,” “The Bridal Groom,” a tworeel comedy, and a Gazette. Matinee admission prices are; Adults Is and IS (id; children 6d. To-night at Everybody to Theatre Richard Barthelmess and Dorothy Mackaill will be screened for the last time in John S. Roberteon’s joyful production “Twenty-one,” a seven reel First National special attraction. The supporting pictures will include a two reel comedy, a scenic of Halifax and a Topical. Everybody’s Symphony Orchestra, under the conductorship of Mr. Chas. H. Fox, wilb brighten the atmosphere with some choice musical selections, including the latest fox-trots. Box plan arrangements are elsewhere. Patrons may ring the theatre this evening for reserves. Next Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Everybody’s Priscilla Dean will appear, sup ported by an exceptionally capable cast, including Wallace Beery, Matt Moore, and Ray Griffith, in “The White Tiger,’ a Super Special Universal Jewel. Another series of “The Fast Steppers” will also be shown.
