EXPERTS FOR NEW ZEALAND. BIG FEES WANTED. INTEREST IN ENGLAND. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Sept. 15. A leading golf authority says that the leading professionals, who are course architects., are greatly interested i.i the New Zealand proposal to improve local courses. The suggestion to invite two experts indicates a wish to combine exhibition games with the receipt of expert advice- This would be costly, as experts will not visit the other end of the world without a big fee, probably £6OO to £7OO for a three months’ tour in New Zealand. The writer suggests Mr. F. G. Hawtrey, an expert in modern courses, who is in partnership with Mr. J. H. Taylor. Mr. Hawtrey, interviewed, said he was interested in the proposal, and it was a matter of terms only. He might be able to persuade Taylor to accompany him.
