ELTHAM BOYS’ BAND.
VISIT TO NEW PLYMOUTH. The Salvation Army Boys’ Orphanage band and a company of glee singers from Eltham paid a visit to New Plymouth yesterday, and rendered some very enjoyable items in Devon Street during the day. The band’s performances wei> most creditable, and the renderings of the glees were well received. Commandant Home, inanager of the band was in charge, and delivered short addresses on the objects and work of the Home. Commandant Home stated that the response to the appeal for Christmas cheer on behalf of the boys had been most gratifying, as about £7O had been contributed. The boys returned to Eltham last night after a most enjoyable and successful day.
